For the past 3 years I have been a member of a group of homeopathy practitioners, educators and advocates from across the country who came together when national attention was directed to the prevalence of murders of Black and Brown people. We were concerned that as a field, homeopathy did not appear to be grappling with the ongoing and historic racialized trauma in our society. Motivated to educate ourselves on systemic racism and its impact on all levels of health, we began by exploring its impact on each of us personally and within our greater homeopathic community.
We continue to meet monthly as a group, now called Deepening Humanity in Homeopathy (DHH) (https://www.humanityinhomeopathy.com), with a common goal of making homeopathic education and healing accessible, inclusive and welcoming to all. As we have learned from long-time organizers at the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, We believe that racism dehumanizes us all and that by undoing it we become more humanized.
We invite you to join with us in our efforts to deepen our own humanity and that of our work as homeopaths. Please check out our new website, come to our webinars and events, join one of our book groups. Thank you!
